Gracie Rollins nee Johanssen is the daughter of Henrik, the leader of the Proletheans, and Bonnie Johanssen.

Season 2[]

In "Governed by Sound Reason and True Religion", Gracie is introduced as she hesitantly served food to Helena on her father's instruction.

In "Mingling Its Own Nature With It", Gracie continued to doubt her father's plans for Helena to "join the family". However, following Henrik's brief talk with Gracie, Gracie decided to conceal her dislike for Helena. She continued to see her with increasing distaste for Helena, even going as far as to refer to her as 'it'. Henrik married Helena thereafter.

In "Governed As It Were By Chance", Gracie attempted to smother Helena while serving her food, after which Helena returned the favor and suffocated Gracie, but only enough for her to fall unconscious for a short period of time.

In "Ipsa Scientia Potestas Est", Gracie was confined in a cell for her part in Helena's escape. Refusing to tell them anything aside from insisting that Helena simply attacked her, Gracie's lips were literally sewn shut by her parents. Mark visited her, expressing his desire to help her. Later, she is convinced to finally confess what she did and asks for her father's forgiveness.

In "Things Which Have Never Yet Been Done", both she and Helena are implanted with Helena's eggs, fertilized in vitro with Henrik's sperm. Thus, she was impregnated and unwillingly became the surrogate carrier of Helena and her own father's child.

In "By Means Which Have Never Yet Been Tried", she and Helena were locked away until Mark arrived and freed them. Later, she and Mark were wed.

Season 3[]

She and Mark live in a motel. Her mother eventually finds her and takes her to Mr Appleyard's farm. She is banished when she has a miscarriage.

She eventually stays with Mrs S. While drinking alcohol and dancing in the living room, she passes out. When a paramedic examines her, she notices that Gracie's eyes are red.

In Certain Agony of the Battlefield Gracie is examined at Dyad. It is revealed that a protein carried by Mark made her sick.
