Cosima to Scott[src]

Scott Smith is another student at University of Minnesota, along with Cosima. Her repeated requests in aiding her clone research leads him into the conspiracy of the clones as an outsider, eventually landing a job at Dyad and being thrust into various undisclosed genetic revelations.

Biography[]

Season 1[]

In "Conditions of Existence", Scott is seen helping Cosima study the blood samples of the clones, unaware of what exactly Cosima is studying. Evidently an awkward man who seems attracted to Cosima, Cosima manages to trick him into doing a favor for her, asking him to sequence the "barcode genes" of the clones without telling him why.

He is next seen in "Unconscious Selection", telling Cosima that he has finished sequencing and analyzing the thousands of base pairs from her gene samples. Scott shows her the part of their genome where a certain piece is anomalous from the Cytochrome c in each, but also distinct from each other, making Cosima realize what the clones' observers are using to differentiate them from each other. Scott once again tries to get more information out of Cosima and fails. Delphine arrives and kisses Cosima, surprising the previously giddy Scott who leaves in disappointment.

Season 2[]

In To Hound Nature in Her Wanderings he is accepted as an analyst at the Dyad Institute. Cosima refuses his application and he confesses that he already knows about the clones.

Season 3[]

TBA

Season 4[]

In The Redesign of Natural Objects Scott works with Susan and Cosima for a treatment. They think embryonic stem cells could be the answer.

Trivia[]

  • Scott's DYAD Institute employment record shows his ID tag as 2045-8819-RND with Entry-Level security clearance.[1]
